Help build confidence and skills on your own boat with a professional skipper and qualified instructor. If there’s some specific skills you want to work on, want some general coaching, or just some guidance in the local waters you can hire one of our skippers to join you onboard your boat.

Let us know your needs and we can tailor the training just for you. Informal tuition on your own boat can be useful for helping you gain confidence and greater understanding of your own boat, its capabilities and how it handles. In order to get the most out of these sessions there should be a maximum of four participants.

Receiving training onboard your own boat can also be a cost-effective way for the whole family to learn in a relaxed and familiar environment. If you just want some advice on navigating the local waters and getting to know the local tidal conditions, we can help with that too. All our instructors have local knowledge endorsements for operating commercially in the Menai Strait.

£250 half day / £400 full day

It is the responsibility of the owner of the vessel to inform their insurance company that they are receiving instruction by a professional Skipper and wishes the insurance to cover the Skipper, and his/her liabilities, for the duration of his/her time on board.
It is a condition that the owner of the vessel is in command of the vessel at all times.
It is a condition that the vessel must be in a seaworthy condition and carry all relevant safety equipment to satisfy the instructor.
